OUR EVER EVOLVING NEIGHBORHOOD

If the buildings that comprise our neighborhood between Josefov and the Old Town could talk, they'd have so many stories to tell! Hotel Josef located just a few walking minutes from Prague’s touristic areas around Old Town Square and the glitz and elegance of shopping on Parizska Street, but our little neighborhood has a personality of its own.

Our Neighborhood is home to many establishments adored by local foodies and design lovers. New shops, cafes, and restaurants are joining old favorites throughout the area - some very old favorites.

SHOPPING AND SIGHTSEEING
IN CENTRAL PRAGUE

You can easily spend your days in the streets around Hotel Josef, eating, shopping, exploring and people watching while soaking up the atmosphere of the “real” Prague. People live, work and play in our neighborhood. This creates a personality unique to the area and makes your stay at Hotel Josef much more special.

Visit the Gourmet Passage at lunchtime and admire the concept of the Butchery Nase Maso, then try some traditional open-faced sandwiches at Sisters opposite – they're not only delightful to look at but also delicious to eat. (Nase Maso and Sisters: both Dlouhá 39)

Have a genuine Italian coffee, delicious pastries, and some downtime for people-watching, at La Bottega Bistroteka (also Dlouhá 39)

Check out the fresh fashion designs at Chatty and find the perfect pair of bespoke jeans (Haštalská 21)

Behind Hastalska Church sits one of Pragues hidden architectural gems, St Agnes Convent. Visit it and enjoy the National Gallery’s medieval and early renaissance art collection (U Milosrdných 17)

Avoid the kitsch and buy lovingly made edible souvenirs for your friends and family at Pernickuv Sem, the Gingerbread Dream (Haštalská 21)
