Designblok 2026 is one of Central Europe’s largest design and fashion festivals, bringing together contemporary design, architecture, fashion, art, installations and emerging designers. The festival attracts up to 50,000 visitors each year. This year’s theme is “Light,” exploring light not only through design and technology, but also as a symbol of knowledge, hope and life.

The festival takes place at major Prague venues including Veletržní palác, Průmyslový palác, Prague Castle and the Museum of Decorative Arts, with around 50 galleries, showrooms and design venues participating across the city.

Signal Festival is Prague’s annual celebration of light, digital art and creative technology, transforming the city’s streets, historic buildings and public spaces into unique artistic experiences. The 2026 theme, “Dream On! Dreams and Visions,” brings together 21 installations featuring light, video mapping, digital art, sound and interactive technology.

The festival introduces a new Dejvice route alongside the traditional city-centre route. 13 installations are free, while 8 are part of the paid Signal INSIDE programme. The programme also includes Signal Forum, workshops and evening events.

Day of Architecture is a great event to experience alongside Designblok, with a focus on Prague’s architecture, urban development and history rather than product and interior design. Taking place across Prague and other Czech cities, the festival aims to make architecture accessible to the general public.

The 2026 theme, “I live, therefore I am”, explores housing from historical residential architecture to contemporary design, urban development and affordable housing. Highlights include guided tours of Prague’s architectural landmarks, such as Molochov in Letná, a striking Functionalist residential complex, as well as tours exploring Prague’s housing estates and their architectural significance.
