Prague: Rooms in the city

Josef

This is the only fully fledged designer hotel in Prague. Glass is dominant throughout; the lobby has a glass front on to the street, and there is a glass-sided bar and reception desk. The bedrooms, divided between two functional modern blocks labelled Pink and Orange, are of the minimalist kind, with Perspex chairs, glass tables and just the odd splash of colour -— a bright orange armchair, for example. More expensive "superior" rooms have bedrooms separated by glass walls. The choicest rooms are those with terraces, and good views, on the seventh and eighth floors of the Pink building. In a good location, on the edge of the smart Josefov quarter, the hotel has keen, friendly staff.
