Although it opened only in June 2002, this ultra-central, ultra-elegant, ultra modern hotel is already famous. Decorated by Eva Jiricna, an English architect of Czech origin, it has 110 rooms featuring her trademark high-tech style of glass and stainless steel, which emphasizes light to reveal sculptural, stylized shapes, if at times a bit cold. Having worked for the Royal Academy of Arts as well as the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, she has also designed the restaurant Le Caprice and many high-end shops in various major cities. The new orangery of Prague Castle bears her signature.
