A chic-simple, design-driven stunner situated just a stumble from Old Town Square, this place has quickly become the choice of visiting glitterati, gaining a reputation as Prague's pad for rock stars and celebutants, along with world-famous writers like Amos Oz, Irvine Welsh and Jeffrey Eugenides. The hotel was conceived by the hard-working Eva Jiricna Architects, who are well known in London for their high-end shop interiors (Kenzo, Joseph, Vidal Sassoon, Joan & David). There are no suites here, a drawback for spoiled A-listers. Instead, the best rooms here are top-floor "superiors" which come with small balconies overlooking all of Old Town and beyond. Standard rooms are smallish. Most are quiet, though, brightened by floor-to-ceiling windows that face an interior garden.
